does anyone know about the med zonegran? they started my son who is 3 on this. has anyone had any good/bad side effects

I only skimmed through the replies but I was put on Zonegran before Lamictal and it made me zone out. I was in another world for two weeks, i missed school... i couldn't drive. just remember everyone reacts differently to medication.

I'm currently on 500mg + all my other szs meds. I have little side effects. Most info on any szs med can be found on the efa.org link if this helpful. I wish you luck.

My daughter who was also on Topamax for around 5 years, just came off of it and was put on Zonegran. It is too soon to tell how she will react, but what choice do we have but to try. She just had the strips put in the last two weeks at Duke, and was in agonizing pain. They took them out and told us she is not a candidate for surgery. So............the search for a medicine that works continues. Take Care
