Connect on Social Media
How Can Social Media Impact Your Epilepsy Journey?
Social media can be a powerful part of your epilepsy journey. Whether you’re a person with epilepsy or a caregiver, it can connect you with others going through the same things you are. You can share experiences, advice, and support.
Our social channels at the Epilepsy Foundation can also keep you up to date on our programs, services, and events. Watch out for the latest fundraiser, volunteer opportunity or advocacy event.

Spread awarenessStaying Safe on Social Media
Social media can be a great place to connect and stay up to date. However, some content can be harmful to people with reflex epilepsies and photosensitivities. Some GIFs and videos with strobe effects can trigger seizures.
If this is a concern, you can turn off the video autoplay feature on most social media and browsers. Taking this step can help limit your risk of exposure to potentially seizure- and headache-inducing content.
Community Forums Archive
While our community forum is now closed, you can still search the archive for questions about epilepsy and seizures. If you don’t see the question you’re looking for, connect with our community on social media, YouTube, and Discord. We want to stay connected and keep the conversation going.
