My son was just put on Keppra. We are starting with 250mg 2x a day and then this week it will go up to 500mg 2x per day. He also takes meds for ADHD.  He was just diagnosed with seizure disorder so this is new to me.  Within 3 days of starting Keppra he started yelling and hitting his sister. He was angry and in his anger would say things like he just should kill himself.  I truly believe it was the anger and he wanted to see if that would make us upset.  Our son even with the ADHD has never been one to hit or get angry.  If he gets made he will usually remove himself from the situation.  The nuero said to check him into the hospital.  THis would be too traumatic.  I believe its the keppra. We never witnessed this before. I don't understand why he doesn't remove him from the keppra.  So I will give it one more week and see if it levels off once his dose is increased to where it should remain.  What do you think?  If behaviors get worse then I am telling neuro I want him off keppra.
