Has anyone had a child grow out of having IS?

Mon, 01/30/2006 - 09:30
My son has infantile spasms. He is on Topamax and Kolopin right now. We were told that there is still a chance that he may grow out of this condition. Could that be true? Has anyone ever "beaten" the seizures? Hoping for a brighter tomorrow.

He is not walking as yet only Holding onto the sofa and walking but not by himself. I fiel so weak, frustrated and my only hope lies in my prays to the Heavenly Father to rescue and cure my baby so he can live a normal life. This gives me hope for my daughter. She was diagnosed at 4 months. 18 months now as she is still having the spasms. I don't recall her doctor speaking about these injections. It may be worth a shot.
