if you do not have a poor attitude, you are still not in touch with reality.  that was my approach to my seizures.  i never talked about them with my kids  i assumed they understood what was going on.  when employes found non productive jobslike answering telephones, when my skills were electrical and mechanical, i took what was offered me.  all of this is the normal pattern of eplipesy and life.  you take a pill, the seizures stop for a few months then ya think your on the right track.  then when you leas expect it, you have another seizure.

let's face it realisticaly.  to make it through life we have to tell the story bent just to feed ourselfs.

be honest with your self.  do not trust doctors as blindly as we do.  we have a solution that they do not want you to know.  mosteeg's done in the united states are done on equipment designed in the 30's and 40's so the information your given is from a model T.  hospitals are in business for profit.  not humanitarian.  we get duped because we don't know any other solution.

the reports you get oneeg is a report that only show the mud.  mirror images do not tell the truth.  when the test is done, it must be done while you are off meds and seizuring and the machine needs to be much faster, 1,000 times faster than the junk they are using.

I hate my epilepsy, yet I love life. This is the hand that God dealt me and I accept this, yet I acknowledge that my path may be a little harder to travel. Along this path I have choosen to become a Special Ed. teacher and have only one year left to get my degree. When I read your post, KParadise, I noticed that you were a SPED teacher as well and wondered if your teaching liscence was revoked for being epileptic. If you are able to still be a teacher in the SPED field due to your siezures. I understand it will be a bit harder for me to get my liscense but I want to know how hard this may be. Thank you and God Bless!

The license will be no problem.  states like illinois, issue license for anything to anybody.  The Job is a problem.  The word Epilepsy is associated with a Story in the bible where a boy was Possesed by Demons.  Employers in the United States of America DISCRIMINATE CONTINUOUSLY.  You will be lucky if after 50 years , you have found one part time job teaching.   Then the wages will bo low you will not ber able to afford to go to work.

like i said before , I am 67 years old.   By the time i had the brainsurgery that proved i had never had Epilepsy, I had been employed by 457 different employers.most of them ending the first time i had a seizure.

I was a licensed electrician.  my longest job was working for United Technologies.  My duties were to sit on my butt, all day long and do nothing.   It was not until after the surgery that i realized the sitting routine was actualy a form of constructed discharge.  the thinking being, if we bore him enough he will quit.
