Pseudo Seizures

Fri, 01/20/2006 - 13:47
Hi there, Im hoping someone out there can help me out. I have just returned from the A & E Department of my local Hospital after being sent their by my GP due to my having 2-3 seizures a day and having a real bad headache down the left side of my head and weakness on my right side. After being treated as what can only be described as a slab of meat I was told that I was having pseudo seizures to cover up my stress that I was under and that the medication I was on was enough to knock out a horse and that I was using these seizures to get out of situations. I did try to assure the Doctor that I am not stressed and am just a normal 35 year old mother of two wonderful kids, who is happily married and works full time but all he said was that he was trying to give me the chance to "admit" that I knew I was doing this in order for him to help me further. When I assured him that I dont remember going into seizure and that this had been the case for 12 years he then said he couldnt help and that I would have to wait 7-8 weeks for a so called urgent referral. To say I feel totally disheartened and extremely upset would be an understatement and although I am waiting to see my GP on Tuesday and I dont know what to do now. Any advice anyone can give would be really gratefully received. Please help as I want my life back. Star xx

I was diagnosed with this

Submitted by Bridge.gee on Thu, 2018-05-24 - 13:30
I was diagnosed with this disorder after I was giving too much bupropion(aka:welbutrin, zyban). I've had 3 seizures while on bupropion. They finally took me off of it but weirdly I became extremely scared of everything. I used to once skydive, travel, and was very social.  I now have to prepare myself mentally, bring head phones and never take off my sunglasses so I can't make eye contact with anyone in public places. I know this is inconventional but have you reasearched microdosing? I have tried this and all of my anxiety and emotional outburst (uncontrollable crying) is non existent when trying this new method. Lookup microdosing on YouTube and you will see all the successful stories from this innovative way to hack our brains. Hope this helps.

Hello. I was diagnosed with

Hello. I was diagnosed with pnes about 3 years ago. They just popped out of nowhere. I was sent to ER on a daily basis because they were so violent an go for hours on end. I ended up missing a month of work and got denied for disability. Ive always been a strong person, the doctor (ive seen many) says this is my bodys way of relievng the stress. Though the gym was my third home, i did yoga and wrote in a journal. I could be happy and laughing and a seizure wll hit. Most of the time Ill have a warning, whether its feeling wierd, going mute, stuttering or losing function in my legs. It changes each time I have it, right now ive been stuck at home for 3 days and i have been having mini ones in my head all day. I have been given drugs that make me feel like a zombie and still have seizures and doctors asking why im taking a certain drug, it wont work. Everyone is different, Im not gonna give you a certain time. I have gone months without having a seizure, to missing work for a week because of them (not necessarily actually having them, but feeling the electric current, as I like to put it, run through my body, keeps me home, cause I know one could come soon). You're going to be pissed, angry, and confused (especially if you dont feel stressed). I still feel that way, but you just have to see it through. I hope you have gotten some positive feedback in your life since you last posted this. I wish you luck.
