Hello, I was looking into purchasing either the SmartWatch or Embrace seizure alert. Is one better than the other? What have been your experiences with wearable seizure monitors? Thank you! Smilemily

I just got my Embrace 2 this

I just got my Embrace 2 this past Tuesday & it has been nothing but trouble for me.  It disconnects from my bluetooth every 30 mins to a hour.  It claims to have a 30 foot range but I can't even get 15 feet away on the same floor level.  It even disconnects when the phone is less than a foot away from me.  It keeps giving me false alerts & I can't get the notifications from it to go away on my phone.  I've been going back & forth w/support for days now & they are no help at all.

Embrace 2 is garbage.  I've been testing mine out since Tuesday.  SO many disconnects even when I'm 1 foot from my phone.  When I did a test to see if it works you have to be jerking REALLY hard.  I have tonic clonic and I don't even jerk that hard during my seizures.  I plan on returning it.

My husband was diagnosed with

My husband was diagnosed with epilepsy in February. He's had an Embrace since September.  It's the first model. It has been so helpful. There are times it disconnects but it reconnects and uploads pretty quickly so no data is lost.  There have been some false alarms including a few that he didn't notice so they alerted me. I'm ok with false alarms though since it has alerted for all of the seizures he's had since getting the watch including one that occurred while he was by himself.
