Stubborn Teenager

Help! I have a 16 year-old daughter who was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 9. Her epilepsy is well-controlled by medication, which she is refusing to take. She has had seizures over the past few months that could have been avoided by her taking the medication. It’s so frustrating! It’s a battle twice a day and has been really hard this summer as my husband and I both leave for work before she is up in the morning. Please help - I am open to any suggestions!

This is such a difficult thing to have to battle about.  I feel your pain and I'm so sorry you are going through this.  I feel like a pill pusher with my 18 year old daughter and I don't even like pills, but I like her grand mal seizures much less!  I don't have anything new to add from the other 2 comments, I just wanted to let you know that I hear you and I'm pulling for you and your daughter! Hugs.
