concerned mom

hi ya all,i need some help here.my son is epileletic and he is almost three years old but he cannot construct asentence.he only utters just few words.he's on tegretol,rivotril,pb.could this be affecting his speech?a nurse adviced me to take him for speech therapy.i'm so desperate,please help.

FWK hi ek,thanx for ur advice.when u talk to my son he can understand everything but the problem is he cannot not communicate.if u send him to get something he will definately get it but he will only utter a few words.the doctor told me to be patient with him,that it will take time but eventually he/ll talk.hope for the best.thanx again.
