A warning about Onfi/Clobazam

Wed, 04/15/2020 - 13:19
I want to scream this from the rooftops because my experience was so awful. Of course, everyone is different and their bodies react differently. However, withdrawal from onfi was THE most difficult I ever had to go through. I was so sick for so long mentally and physically. Please use with care and have a health care professional who understands the withdrawal process. Be well and stay safe everyone!

Hello, and thank you for your comments on Clobazam. There's a reason that it's a controlled substance. I've just been started on it along with some others in a my "cocktail". I was not happy with my epileptologist doing so as I have taken low dose benzodiazepines in the past. Getting off is not easy or pleasant.Interestingly he was adamant about not letting me have either Valium or Ativan as an emergency drug when I was having 30 minute warning auras.I do suggest a second opinion if you have any concerns, no matter what, or how much you trust your doctor. Even the best sometimes think more of the illness than the patient. It sounds as though you may have one of those. You have my sympathy
