My Life With Epilepsy or Should I Say No Life?

Thu, 11/11/2010 - 06:55
I used to have a life. A real life, even with epilepsy undiagnosed from childhood. When I started to have bigger problems than I thought I could cope with on my own, I went to the doctor for help. That was the biggest mistake in my life. The rest is history and current events. I started a blog, partly to save my own life. I think it has. I'm alive and kicking (lol, the seizures make me do that). Please read it if you want to know my story. I would love to hear from the rest of you on this site. I complain about this site a lot and many of you probably wonder why I'm here. I'm here because of all of you. Thanks and I'm looking forward to your comments. Hi Everyone, I just called my doctor. After 20 minutes on hold, they hung up on me. I called back. "Don't call us, we'll call you." So I'm waiting for a call back. I'm not holding my breath. My head hurts and I can't figure out how to go on line to get a phone number to try to make a reservation somewhere. It's funny how parts of the brain can work while others can't. It's so funny I'll be dead soon. Baruch Hashem. Hoshia na. Devorah Zealot Soodak http://psychout.typepad.com/ the zealot needs help! P.S. Please read my blog. Thanks. P.P.S. Hi Everyone, I'm having a terrible time of it. I got my doctor's appointment moved up a week, which is good th6ing. I am walking around with a bag full of controlled substances that I have to take not as ordered. That's pretty scary. Right now I am still taking the 500mg Keppra Q6 hours plus 1mg Klonopin Q8 hours. The problem is that the scrip is for BID even though my doc told me to take it as I needed it because she knows I know what I'm doing. I'm just really scared in case I end up in the hospital or get arrested for acting weird because I'm having a seizure. I'll look like a junkie with all of the benzos I'm carrying around for emergencies or the ones I can't take because they make me sick, but I can't leave them in the room because they'll be stolen. Speaking of rooms, I'm out on Friday and I'm too brain dead to figure out how to make a reservation for something that won't bankrupt me. I got some help, a case worker from New York is getting me my Birth Certificate. Baruch Hashem. I wrote a new post. It is just a start. I decided to go after Shore Memorial Hospital. They're the ones who had security throw me out while I was having a seizure. It isn't much, but it's a start. Not one of the docs on their Board of Directors is a member of the AMA and none of them meet minimal standards. The hospital is infamous and is non compliant with requests for patient records. It is also referred to by other medical professionals as a morgue. So it's my start. I pray I get people interested. I pray the post hits the search engines big time. I pray that I am not writing my epitaph. Baruch Hashem. Hoshia na. Devorah Zealot Soodak http://psychout.typepad.com/ the zealot needs help! P.S. Please read my blog. Thanks. P.P.S. Hi Everyone, I have to get out of here tomorrow. I'm not packed. I have no where to go. I made some more phone calls. Guess who I ended up talking to. A facility run by JFS. I can't win. It turns out that they have supportive housing that I can afford. I told them I can afford $600 a month, which is the maximum mandated amount that may be charged: 30% of the gross monthly income. Why was this not offered to me? They want to mail me an application. Duh. There is a two week to one month waiting list. Why wasn't I put on it in August? Duh. I'm fucked. I am so sick from the seizures and the meds that I am brain dead. It is after four and I finally managed to cook and eat something today. I don't know what to do. I feel like I should go to the Police and ask them for help. No one will help me and all of the places around here are expensive rip offs. I got in touch with my cousins on Facebook. My sister has been lying to them. She says I "disappeared." She knew damn well where I was. She just wanted all of my parents' money. She's got it now and she doesn't give a damn if I live or die. Please pray for me. I don't know what to do. I can hardly stand up and I can hardly walk. Me and my remaining possessions will be out on the street in the cold (it's going down into the 20s tonight).
