Magnesium Deficiency

Sun, 03/13/2005 - 15:35

Have any of you tried magnesium supplements and found them to be helpful? I have been doing some research and come across a theory that many people with epilepsy are magnesium-deficient. I realized that I have not had a seizure for 9 months, and I have been taking Rolaids for the past year. I have been taking them for the calcium content, but they also contain magnesium. Any thought on this?

Yes. I was born with Epilepsy

Yes. I was born with Epilepsy and I am getting that same feeling about magnesium as well as Iron and selenium, in 2012 I was diagnosed with a swollen liver and a swollen spleen, I was also diagnosed with anemia and especially when I was prego, with my daughters, I had too eat a bowl and a half of liver with my second daughter, gross!!! Now there is suspicion that I might have a leaky gut as well and all of these symptoms all surround all of these deficiencies , Honestly its felt like a pledge and a curs upon my life, but I am also Big Right Now in theology, and so there is another aspect to this as well, as far as I am concerned, I know people are going to think I am crazy, this has , effected my life so much I have always been open , to all avenues , and ideas of getting rid of it. I think if you are going to look for a cure for this , you have to look at all the facts, and in always. You not take ananimal to a regular doctor , who only perscribs medication for people, and you would not take a person to be seen by a vet, in hope that he can , figur out your grandmothers pain . I mean I guess in some parts of the world , you might because the town might be limited, for resources. You would not do it if you did not have to right. Well that how I see it and believe it or not it is in the bible. lol.

I also found out that in

I also found out that in order for my body to absorb, the vitamins I need I also need to take a prebiotic and a probiotic, so I am looking into this as well.

But as far as anything ells I

But as far as anything ells I have grown out of it for the most part, and yet it does not mean this whole nightmare is over, I still have anemia, and I might have a leaky gut. Thankfully none of my daughters , got it at all. but I feel like I have lived my whole life sleep walking, or in a comma, now I am starting to wake up, and just finding out , about all the thing it has really done and effected my life. and its all been negative. Not one bit has been good, I speak as though I am 18, and I am 47.i was never able to read more than a few lines, now I can read chapters, at a time, I was unable to comprehend , and put in special education, I am and have always been naive , so now I am learning things the hard way. I used to have panic attacks, about issues, that I did not understand, now I do not have them as much, in 2015 I was 188.7lbs, now I am 142.2, and I am having to , because of the leaky gut, when I eat wrong , I physically hurt from the inside out. I am practically having to look into Paleo, Keto, and Vegetarian, I exercise more now than I ever have in my life. But I originally started taking magnesium, because I heard its a natural relaxer, and so I could sleep. Now I am finding out that there is a link.
