Newborn with seizures. Help!

Fri, 08/28/2015 - 03:59
Edward was born 2 weeks ago. It was supposed to be a time of joy. We, are children and friends and family were looking forward to seeing him. Now, after 14 days, (we are still here in Great Ormond St hospital) numerous tests and scans, its looking likely he will have seizures for the rest of his life. Doctors can't find a reason for these seizures. Edward hasn't really been fully awake either. He just lies there, occasional movements, eyes open from time to time, and when he has his little fits. It's absolutely heartbreaking. Has anyone else been through or going through this....I'm so low at the moment. Thanks.
