writing a book
Fri, 12/02/2011 - 10:57I have been an epileptic since the 7th grade, and spent most of my life working in the medical community. Can any one give me an idea how I can go writing a little book to share my experiences?

I'm only 20, but I've had seizures since I was 9. I've thought about doing the same thing. I recently read this, I liked it alot. Maybe you'll like it and it could give you some of idea how to write youre book.

The only idea that I can think of right now is maybe you can spend some time searching through Amazon.com, because there are thousands of books pertaining to seizures and or epilepsy, several of which were written by individuals who have epilepsy themselves. If you do search through Amazon.com, scroll just a little bit down the website and look for a section labeled "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought", and then nearly all the way down to the bottom of the website, and there might be another section labeled "Continue Shopping: Customers Who Bought Items in Your Recent History Also Bought". Both of these other two sections should be displaying other books, some of which might be authors who also have epilepsy themselves.
If you do decide to purchase any books, or simply anything else through Amazon.com, look around the top portion of the page for each item for several prices. One of the prices displayed is simply going to be the cost for a brand-new book, or other item. A little ways down below that is where you might find two other prices displayed. One is going to be the cost for a brand-new item, and the cost for any used items, if any are available. The reason why I'm trying to bring this to your attention is because the prices for new and used items, could be much cheaper, possibly even cheaper than the cost for having the item shipped to you.
