HALP! PLEASE!!!

a little over a year ago, i had an ideopathic seizure.  I was concious for most of it.

I remember getting up before work and i 'blacked out (this happens to me a lot, where my vision goes black and i feel like pins and needles travelling through my whole body).'  usually it passes, but this time instead i was still unable to see and my legs went haywire and i was in complete vertigo for who knows how long but i could feel myself twitching and when my vision started to come back, my legs were still convulsing.  I freaked and was taken to the emergency room.  they didn't find anything from a CT scan and the blood work and all of the other tests they took.  I slept for two days straight afterwards and i can remember telling them that 'it feels like my brain is dead, and i'm really weak' everytime they asked how i was feeling.

Since then I started to get crazy bad migraines and when i get them i get the feeling that i had when i had the seizure.  when i black out, sometimes it is super intense and i smack my hand off of and hold onto the wall.  i think being able to hear sounds is what keeps me from losing control.  when i get the migraines, also, i twitch a lot, i can't pay attention to anything or anyone sometimes, and i get really lethargic. today in church, my leg was twitching and i didn't even notice it until someone bumped into me.

I saw a neurologist.  I had an EEG that turned out normal, and an MRI, MRA, and MRV that revealed that i have an abnormal blood vessel in my left cerebellum.

The neurologist that i saw never mentioned epilepsy or any insight as to what could be causing my migraines or symptoms.  she looked at me as though i were just a liar and prescribed anti-depressants.  it put my parents through a lot and i don't think they believe me completely, either.

i found this website through a flyer and was wondering if anyone had any insight?  please let me know.  i'm still frazzled.

I'm going to ask my physician to reccommend a good epileptologist.  PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi

You sure found the right place.

Don't worry too much about your neurologist. You can always replace them. It's always very important  to get  a second opinion in a situation like this.

The harsh reality is, that when people aren't sure what is going on, they look for someone to blame. So of course, they blame the victim, which is you.

It's hard, but I don't have any advise for how to deal with it. Just know that tons of people go though it, and you can find plenty of us here on this site.

What you went though is really scary, and it is totally normal to freek out. Don't let anyone try to tell you otherwise.
