Topomax

Is anyone's child on Topamax? And if so are they having any side effects? My son takes Keppra 1500 mg a day and so far 150 mg of Topamax. He was so cranky on Keppra with horrible anxiety. So far I have not noticed any side effects from the Topamax.

My son also take Keppra 1200mls and 225mg of Topamax. It took a while for him to get used to the meds. They made him tired for a while and just out of it. He is doing much better now much more with it. One of the common side effects of Topamax is a decrease in appietate (sp). The side effect that is effect my son is an increase in saliva resulting in a big drooling problem but who cares it is keeping his seizures under control.

My son did great on Topamax for a few months, it controlled his seizures. His appetite did not decrease, he just was not gaining any weight.
