Repeated word/phrase stuck in my head

Sat, 06/24/2006 - 12:29
I've notice recently that I'll be thinking about something and then one of the words or pharases will repeat in my head for hours or sometimes all day. This will also happen with a song, which will repeat NON-STOP for up to 2 days. Then another song will be picked up for a day or so. I will wake up with this song or hear it in my dreams. It drives me crazy! I don't know if this is some funny new thing that has started up recently or if I just didn't notice it until I started having Partial Seizures in February. Perhaps it used to happen, but I've only recently noticed because I'm so sensitive about the workings of my mind/brain since these seizures started happening. I was wondering if any of you experienced this and does anybody think this might be related to my seizures? PS - I've also started having memory problems, but it seems to soon too already be experiencing that. I do have about 3-5 CPS/SPS each week, but this just started 2/1/06. ? ? ? Thanks, Reb

This might sound weird but the words "put for" I just keep saying in my head and I don't know why it's so annoying

For the majority of my young

For the majority of my young life, i have repeated simple words in my mind during any time where i am occupied. Playing games, conversing, exercising, eating, etc. Especially "LOL LOL JUST LIKE" for some very weird reason, i just repeat that in my head continuously, as though it is a coping mechanism for all the stress i've been unconsciously living since i was a little boy. I say it in my mind at a consistent tempo, as if tapping my foot to a rhythm. It's very distracting, but the worst part is that i never adressed this, and once i starting becoming aware of it, never did i have the balls to speak to anyone about it because i felt far to bizzarre for it, i thought even my parents would judge me for it. I consider this habit similar behavior to my bad habit of grinding my teeth to a fine powder. However, both the obnoxious mantras and the teeth clenching have diminished ever since i started meditating and... stopped lying. That's right, stopped lying. Stop, f*cking, lying - to your friends, your family, your coworkers, strangers, and especially - to yourself. You may not even be conscious your doing it, but take a big step backwards, close your eyes and breathe, and confront yourself. Honestly.

Reb That happens to me when seizures are trying to occur. I just hear repeating sentences from myself or others. It seems then that it happens all day long. Either I need more meds or I have to lay down and get sleep for a seizure may occur take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
