Repeated word/phrase stuck in my head
Sat, 06/24/2006 - 12:29I've notice recently that I'll be thinking about something and then one of the words or pharases will repeat in my head for hours or sometimes all day. This will also happen with a song, which will repeat NON-STOP for up to 2 days. Then another song will be picked up for a day or so. I will wake up with this song or hear it in my dreams. It drives me crazy!
I don't know if this is some funny new thing that has started up recently or if I just didn't notice it until I started having Partial Seizures in February. Perhaps it used to happen, but I've only recently noticed because I'm so sensitive about the workings of my mind/brain since these seizures started happening.
I was wondering if any of you experienced this and does anybody think this might be related to my seizures?
PS - I've also started having memory problems, but it seems to soon too already be experiencing that. I do have about 3-5
CPS/SPS each week, but this just started 2/1/06. ? ? ?

Thanks Lisa. It is nice to hear that someone knows what I'm talking about. Although, I'm not glad to hear you have this too. I don't know about you, but it drives me nuts!

I just wanted to put my two cents in--this happens to me too, and I find it just as annoying. It does give me some indication that I am about to have a seizure, though.

I've had this exact same thing happen, but with certain types of sz's I also have the mind racing problem. Thoughts start racing through my mind, and I don't quite know where they came from. Andy, it can't be your imagination...happens to way to many of us. Also I can tell you that it can't be from the meds, and I'm sure you remember why. It's part of (from what my neuro says) my TLE, and my simple and complex partials. All I know, is that it's strange, Susan
