Books for kids/Explaining Epilepsy

Thu, 02/09/2006 - 11:47
My daughter is 7 and wants to know why she has to take her medication. I have Epilepsy too and take the same medicine, but I have a hard time explaining it to her. I've said stuff like there is a part in her brain that doesn't work like it should. She has never seen one of my grand mal seizures! I feel like it's some kind of sex talk and I just don't know what to say, or what words to use. Anyone got any advice?
