symptoms
Fri, 06/18/2004 - 11:38I haven't been diagnosed with epilepsy yet was wondering if anyone else has the same symptoms as me.Things usually happen when im just dropping off to sleep or just about to wake, im aware of a stale smell first and if im lying down i get a noise in my ears (like when a shell is put to a ear to listen to the waves). This all lasts a couple of seconds. I have experienced it when i haven't been in bed and i had to put my head into my hands as i felt dizzy. I don't fit, but did get convulsions as a child, which stopped when i was 5 years old.

It sounds like you are having auras. I had the problem with the smells beforemy surgery I would have a seizure and also I had dejua vu. I did get ringing in my ears before them sometimes too. But I was always greatful I had the warning signs before the would happen.
