You'll have to ask your doctor. Many people with myoclonic seizures also experience generalized seizures, some don't though. Myoclonic seizures, themselves, are "simple" partial seizures (as the whole brain is not involved, and consciousness is not impaired). This type of epilepsy is also known as Janz Syndrome, you can always do some investigating on the internet (or in a library) to learn more about it.Heather

http://www.neuropat.dote.hu/epilepsy.htmThe above is a good link that is comprehensive. The replies so far have given good advice.Talk to your doc or neuro as well, but most of all read and read some more and save it.Print it out or keep it handy were you can access it when you need to.Here are some links on JME-given to me by a friend of mine whose daughter has JME.http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=JME%2Bepilepsy&btnG=Google+Search
