Can anybody relate?

Wed, 02/01/2017 - 15:00
So I have had epilepsy since I was 8 I am 18 now. At first my epilepsy was associated with a tic (i used to wipe the right side of my face whenever I was near any source of light) I ticed about 200 Times a day. (it was hell) While I ticed my eyes rolled back and I lost consciousness. I have had 8 seizures throughout my life and all of them have been in the sun, while I tic(except one). I can't drink because I'll have a siezure the next day I learned this the hard way twice. When I was about 14 or 15 I learned how to resist the urge to tic. I have not ticed since. Now whenever I go outside when the sun is out I have little muscle spasmas. My arms shoot up and sometimes my head whipes back. I get very embarrassed. Especially since I just learned how to cotrol my tic's. I can never talk to anyone about this because it seems like I'm the only one with this type of epilepsy. No medicine has ever worked, Some have even given me sizures. I just wanted to share my story and say that now that I'm becoming an adult I see many obstacles ahead of me. I always wondered if anyone could relate to me. Or if I'm the only one.
