Anyone taking Keppra?

Hi Everyone!
My name is Peggy and I've had epilepsy for about 27 years. They started when I was almost 16 and I'm 43, now. I have complex partial seizures from the temporal lobe region. My seizures basically occur right before, during and right after my menstrual cycle. I've been on phenobarbitol, dilantin, lamictal, depakote, depakane, lamictal, tegretol and carbatrol. I'm sure I've forgotten a few, too. None of these control my seizures. My neurologist is getting ready to switch me now to keppra. Has anyone had any experiences, bad or good, with this medicine? Any info would be a big help.

hi peggy, i am on keppra now. i have partial complex seizures during that time. any side effect i find to be short term. once the body adjusts to the med theside effect seems to subside. keppra isnt a weight gainer, it does keep my mind clearer and so far it is working to less activity a month good luck
