Does Lamictal make you extremely tired? I am wondering if it is this medicine, I can sleep anywhere anytime. :) Depakote made me gain weight, Lamictal makes me sleep, what is going to work for me?

I stay tired ALL the time also. I am on 1000mg/day of lamictal and 1500mg/day of keppra. I stay tired non-stop. I work at an office in medical records. I also do the swith board. There are times I want to fall asleep. I'm glad that I am not the only person with this side effect!

No, I don't think lamictal makes you tired I'm on lamital and I don't get tired during the day. And I know how you feel about depakote... it makes me gain weight as well and I hate it. God bless. ~Sophs

I'm not sure of my dosage (my pill is a little blue pentagon) but I am on Lamictal. While it's never made me particularly drowsy, I do notice some strange numbness in my face/lips/tongue/throat within a few moments of taking it. Ugh. I was on Depakote, and it gave me these awful stomach aches. D: Lamictal is a blessing.
