YES! KEPPRA HAS SAVED MY LIFE, LITERALLY! If your not on Keppra Id talk to your doc bought it. I used to be on Lamictal. The side effects were really bad and it didnt help my seizures that much. Ever since ive been on Keppra ive had a 96% seizure reduction rate. BEST of luck and wishes to you. I know how you feel.

I have been on Kepra now for almost 2 months after also switching from Lamictal and it has been a great help. The only problem I have with Kepra is the awful fatiuge. Other than that I have been seizure free and I have grand mal and petimal seizures.

I just started keppra 2 weeks ago. I've had complex partial seizures for almost 28 years and have been on: phenobarbitol, dilantin, depakote, depakene, tegretol, lamictal, topomax, carbatrol and I'm sure I've forgotten a few. None of these have ever controlled my seizures. They coincide with my monthly cycle (catamenial seizures). I haven't had any seizures since I started taking the keppra and I normally would've had them all last week. I've not even felt like I was going to have a seizure. As for the side effects: I've been a little more tired, I have a significant loss of appetite and some indigestion, but the positive side effects are outweighing the negative, so far. I will be increasing the dosage every week for another few weeks, so we'll see, but I'm optimistic. Peggy
