Hi,My son is 16 and has right mesial temperol lobe sclerosis and temporal lobe epilepsy. I have been reading the stories on here so I feel like I have found my people. My neurologist wants my son to get a temporal lobectomy because he is telling me his life will improve dramatically as he is having 3-4 seizures per day and they will continue to worsen over time. My son wants the surgery but  am very worried, actually- I am terrified.I want to make sure the Doctor who performs the surgery is a doctor that has the best track record for performing this procedure. We live in Tennessee so LeBonhuer Childrens hospital epilepsy center has been recommended. I am hoping you all can tell me where you went and what was recommended and what kind of research you did to make sure you found the right place.I trust my nuerologist and I know the outcome of  more seizures can be equally harmful and limit a normal life. I am sure this was a concern for everyone who has faced this decision for themselves or their child and I am desperatley seeking feedback. Thanks,Laura

I am wondering how you are
