Best place to have epilepsy surgery

Sun, 10/11/2015 - 11:58

Hi, I have struggled with epilepsy since a teen and thinking of taking the leap to epilepsy surgery at my doctor's urging. Where are the best places to do it if you could go anywhere? Live in small town so will have to travel. TIA!

Hi Dodd,Yes mine was all at once.  Went in Monday 11/23, had laser ablasion the following Monday 11/30 and home 12/2.  What type of seizures do you have?  I had partial complex.  Their thought was since we already have the area of the brain open and we need to remove the probes & grids anyway, get it done right then rather than have to do it again later.  If you have a different type of seizure, I wonder if that makes a difference?
