I just started having issues with having seizures about a month and a half ago and since then things have been going crazy. My first issue was when i passed out in my truck and my boyfriend tried to get my out of the drivers seat and said that my eyes rolled back and in started going in and out and the next the thing i remember i was at the hospital. The next thing i was at the i had another incident where i fell over at my house for no apparent reason and started jerking slightly for just a second one other time. EEG was done and it came back abnormal and she stated that it was evident of seizure activity. I was put of topamax but it didnt do anything for me. The seizures seem to increase and the seizures started to get really worse at night at times up to 7 or 8 when i was really tired. but they only occurred at night. THese seem to mainly occur within the first two to three hours of going to sleep and i always jerked on the left side of my body and my eyes either rolled back or at times were fixed and almost as if i was staring straight ahead per my husband. I could almost feel them coming on but then i was gone. I had an mri done but they had to stop becuase I apparently had three really bad episodes during this because of the sound one where per my husband they were wheeling me down the hall and my lips were smacking really hard and my left side was jerking really hard. but i was told when i finally settled down and all that this was not a seizure. Now i am on keppra 500 mg in am and 1000 m at pm. I had a 72 hour eeg done and it came back normal. My neurologist stated that these may not be seizures now or they may be different types of seizures that eeg do not pick up so they are sending me to the epilepic clinic to have a video monitoring done without medication and has suggested psychiatary also. I am not depressed i have never been more happier in my life. has any one else gone through anything like this before. i would rather this have been just a simple migraine has they had originally thought in the beginning. I am not making my body jerk all over the place like this. i even did this during my wedding this past weekend and it was really embarrassing. Seriously i am a very outgoing individual who enjoys life and would rather not be dealing with this stuff. I feel very depressed because i feel like i had a diagnosis now i am feeling like some how i am making my body do this.

hi, im phia. i was diagnosed when i was 12 but at first they couldnt find out what was wrong with me. they knew it was seizures, but ct-scans and eeg's wouldnt show anything. i know how frustrating it could be. i was a very jolly happy person. i loved to laugh & was always so bubbly. but now i go through these stages of depression & it sucks. im so so sorry you're going through this. i wish i could say it gets better. but everyone's body is different. but what helped me and a lot of other epileptics was CBD, Charlottes Web. i very much encourage everyone to look into it and try it. do some research on it. i really hope it benefits you the way it has for me & everyone else who takes it.
