Over 40 Different Types Of Seizures.......

Sat, 05/06/2006 - 23:47
It has been said repeatedly that there are over 40 different types of seizures with more or less only the most 'popular' listed. Let's see if we can locate the ones that aren't. These types of seizures affect someone and I feel need to be noted. I'm curious to see how many can be located. Anyone interested in helping me find them, please list what you find here along with their description. Thank you! Take care and have a good day! -Spiz

bevs, I found it on a site that Lisa(angel_its) posted on here before. I intend to go back later and post the definitions but if you find the time and want to go ahead with the definitions, please do! Anyone! The site is: http://www.epilepsy ontario.org The other site I found some on and am still looking on is: http://www.emedicine.com Some of these seizures have different names now but I have written them all because some are still known by the old names depending on where you are from. Such as Tonic-Clonic(T/C) was once known and is still called and also known by the old term Grand Mal. Feel free to look up definitions and post them. You may find some more that aren't listed! I'm still looking for more. Smiles! -Spiz -Including the abbreviation if known might be helpful also. Examples: Tonic-Clonic (T/C); Simple Partial (SP);etc.
