How to deal with mood swings?

Sat, 10/11/2014 - 10:23
My little tiny 3 year old has been diagnosed with Epilepsy after a multiple seizures in one day, and the final seizure of the day being a 4 year SE. I am completely traumatized by the experience, but luckily my daughter doesnt remember a thing, even her 4 day PICU stay. With that being said, she is on Keppra. We are still having mini I breakthrough episodes but it's to my understanding it can take a couple weeks to really be at therapeutic level. Her SE was exactly a week ago, so I know her little brain probably isn't completely recovered or maybe it's the Keppra. She is having the worst mood swings, before all of this happened she was always in a good mood even if I got onto her, she'd say "yes mam. Ok." And quickly get over it. However, now even if I get onto her the slightest she ignores me for up to an hour. I'm not sure how to tell her no without having her be mad all of the time. Like I said, this is not typical. Will this go away over time? If not or until then, do I just not feed into her igoring me or her anger. I'm a little lost. Thank you, Katie

Oh, and once she starts talking to me again, it's like nothing ever happened and she's happy and giggly.

If you expect anyone to show

If you expect anyone to show you respect for criticizing them, you are on the wrong planet.
