Screaming during a seizure???

I'm just wondering, apparently I scream while having a seizure, enough so that someone could think I was being murdered... Is this normal? I'd really like to know.

Good morning, faecanuck!Although screaming isn't necessarily part of a seizure, it isn't too uncommon. Generally it is caused by the tonic stiffening of the muscles in the respiratory area (the lungs), which force air to be exhaled rapidly and stimulate the larynx/voicebox on the way out. It can be quite loud. When it happens with me it sounds like someone just punched me in the stomach very hard and knocked all the wind out of me.I understand that continued screaming is rather uncommon, and may be the result of fear and disorientation after the end of a seizure when the person is disoriented and possibly suffering from amnesia or jamais vue.Blessings to you!gsness

With me it happens during. Before and after I am silent. Very strange, but that goes hand in hand with everything else. Thanks!
