Hi my name is Michael, I have had epilepsy for over 42 years in my seizures were at combination of petit-mal and grand mal during my early years at the age of six when I had my first seizure. I also felt a feeling of tingling numbness as a seizure would progress. I could explain it as a feeling of adrenaline rush like when someone would come up behind me and startling me. As a grew into my adolescence and with new medication my seizures then became petit-mal only and remained this way until I received brain surgery at London University Hospital in Canada to remove a scar tissue from my right temporal lobe. This was in1999 and I have remained seizure for the past five years. My first medication that started to bring about seizure control was tegretol 400CR in my teenager years however it was never a complete control and eventually as they grow older the scar tissue was pulling on my brain cells and causing a psychosis in which I would go into states of hallucinations I then seena number of psychiatrists and was eventually put on medication called Zyprexa and this helped and I have had no l occurrences of the hallucinations since the operation. However my psychiatrist has suggested I continue the Zyprexa because I have bouts of depression. I also since the operation experience a problem with concentration. Other then this I am quite healthy otherwise I hope this is of some help you.
sincerely yours

I know exactly what is happening to you. I myself have had this same tingle You call it a tingle I call it a funny feeling in my head. It comes over your head gradually and then is gone . Sometimes you may have trouble speaking you words they are in your head but your mouth just won't spit them out. Then you get tired . Usually a Yawn and its over . I usually put a cold towel or washing cloth on my face and I have to go pee afterwards. Then I feel better or this happens . The feeling comes over your head you have a strange distant expression on your face and someone will ask if you ok . That is when I start fighting the funny feeling . If I ignore it and don't fight it . I have a seizure . I don't usally black out I know what is going on around me I just can't say or express to anyone What is happening. I have bitten my lip and tougue and the inside of my cheek before and then go to sleep after its over. Your case sounds a little worse. Do see a doctor. A Neuro would be the type of Doctor you will be refered to.If you find a medicine that helps stick with it don't let them turn you into a ginny pig. You will have to go thru a battery of test that are neccesary but once your diagnosised . You are in charge it is your body.
If you are blacking out do not drive. Think of the person you might hit. Now that I am older I only drive a short distance to work and back. Be carefull and remember you are in charge not the doctors just remind them who pays thier salary . They can't make you do anything you don't want too. Neuro's are good for that . If a medicine makes you sleep all the time stop taking and tell the doctor you want to live but you also want a life.
Good Luck and God bless you
