Nighttime seizure activity

I am starting to suspect nocturnal seizures based on a pattern of waking feeling a surge of panic/fear, then going right back to sleep only to awake a little while later w/ the same feeling.
Took me two hours to get into a deep sleep b/c this happened for so long last night. It even happened while I was drowsy and laying in bed waiting for my husband to come to bed.
I have read that noc seizures are often tonic-clonic. I only appear to have simple partials, so is it possible these are also simple-partials?
Does anyone else experience this and if so, what can you tell me?

Hi!
The same exact thing has happened to me ever since I started having seizures. When I went to the hospital they confirmed seizure activity during the night yet they failed to do anything about it. So I am still at square one....sorry.

Wow, this is really making me wondetr myself. I have those same symptoms. I think I should go see my Dr. I am very glad I read this.

sounds familiar. I think I fall into REM sleep and have them, but also wander around. I find bruises and all sorts of things on myself, but I've had roommates tell me that I've walked through the kitchen or bathroom and go right back to bed. I guess my body goes on auto-pilot. I just try to keep things off the floor in the bed and bath so I don't trip. It helps some. I also notice the feeling of being jerked awake, or a panic feeling. I've been so exhausted after some episodes, that I've called in and said I'll be late in for work and just slept for a few more hours. luckily, I have a job that allows for that. good luck.
