Fighting off seizures

Has anyone ever felt a seizure coming on that they felt they could control? My friend told me she is able to fight off seizures sometimes when she feels them coming on. Can that really happen and if so how?

I believe I am having a seizure as I type this...and I have been fighting it for 4hours now.  At first my throat constricted so much I was afraid I would no longer be able to breathe, and would die.   Twice I got this warm rush through my entire body and then numbness.  It really felt like If I passed out I would never wake up.  I am still worried about that.  It would be the easiest thing in the world right now to pass out.

Right now the most worrisome part is 2 days out my whole body has some very tiny, constant tremors, I feel mildly out of breath and like my heart is beating faster than normal.  I don’t have health insurance so hopefully to avoid going to a ER or doctor, but idle these symptoms don’t abate, I probably will go tomorrow.
