I have much the same problems. I hear telephones ringing that are not ringing and doorbells ringing that are not ringing. At first I just thought I was crazy but I have a wonderful neurologist that told me that these were part of the SPS-simple partial seizures that I have also. I usually am not able to talk. I cannot understand what people are saying-- they talk nonsence most of the time --at least that is how I perseive it. I usually cry and become confused -- I walk around and try to find someplace safe because I feel unsafe. But yes -- what you are experiencing is what I also experience-- but not all the time. I had my first SPS when I was 8 years old-- suffered a head injury in my teen age years and lived with SPS and CPS and did not know it. When I gave birth to my first child I had to take phenobarbitol- and I have tried all kinds of meds but the only medication that helps me half way is klonopin. I know what you mean about support-- I don't know anyone who has this thing I have and I feel lonely too

Hi,I don't know you but I really thank-you for your words, your explanation. When I read you email, I definitely felt much better. Then, I am not the only one having this big problem, am I? I have always fighted against this problem and it often scares me because I really don't know what is going on. Whenever it happens and continues to go on, I take an extra Rivotril (0.5 mm) which helps me to overcome this problem. Here, where I live (Melbourne, Australia) I couldn't find a job but I want to reach my goal: to become a writer and I am working pretty hard. I thank-you so much for your explanation and help. God bless you too,Edy
