Epilepsy & Tourettes

Does anyone have any knowledge of whether or not a person can have both of these? My 8 yr old son has frontal lobe epilepsy and from time to time has tics that show up on EEG as not seizures but epileptic-form activity so his dr thinks they are tics and he could have tourettes also. he does not have vocal tics at all. thanks

My daughter is 25 and has focal codical dysplasia. She has been on 400 ml per day of Lamictal for a year now and it has controlled her siezures very well. Lately she has started to have uncontrolled head nodding. I could find no side effects listed like head nodding or tics of any kind from Lamictal I have been wondering if maybe Tourettes and Epilepsy might be possible together. She is going to see her Dr. @ UCLA and I hope to get some answers. I will post what I find out.
