Question about Myoclonic Jerks, Frequency Increasing

Mon, 10/20/2014 - 13:25

The reason that I am epileptic is due to a front and back brain injury (mosty the front) that occured almost 20 years ago. I've only actually had one seizure so far (recently), but my doctors say that I'll probably have more. Ever since my brain inury (20 years ago), i've had Myoclonic jerks, but usually only before bed and not even every night. Ever since my recent (and only) seizure, I now get them all throughout the day. Does anybody have experience with this type of thing? Specfiically, the rate of Myoclonic jerks increasing? I just wonder if this is a warning sign of some sort and what I should do about it. I would ask my doctor, but unfortuantely I don't trust him or like him. He's actually a sleep specialist doctor because the Epilepsy doctor recently quit and I have no other choice. I appreciate your advice.
