I had seizure during EEG but EEG results are normal

I am 26 year old, It all started around 9 months back when i had seizurefor first time. I went to a neurologists, he performed EEG and MRI and told me that i have epilepsy then i started taking Anti Epileptic Drugs. My seizure became worse after that and i used to have it 2-5 for about 1 to 5 minutes a day and some days there is no seizure. From last two months i have seizure where my eyes are closed, Jaw also closed and seizure continues for 10 to 30 minutes or untill someone wake me up. I am also not able to open my jaw easily and it take few minutes to open and my eyes remain closed for next 1 to 2 hours.
Now from last month seizure occurs only when i am asleep (during first 10 minutes of the sleep) and last for 10 to 30 minutes during tha my body shakes. I had EEG again and this time i had seizure during EEG but there was no abnormal brain activity during EEG. Now doctor prescribed medicine for both Epliptic and non epileptic seizure.
I dont know what do kind of epilepsy i have and what tdo do. I am thinking o not taking any medicine at all because not taking medicines lowered epilepsy frequency and time.

Thanks Joe,Its around 25 days since ii have started my medication but it is not helping, i get seizure every night (as soon as i go to sleep). I will surely talk to doc about status epilepticus, right now i wake up when someone try to wakeup me for around 1 to 5 minutes.Thanks for your reply.

The EEG can show normal and many do. You need to understand that the activity from the seizure can come from deeper in your brain then the test wires will capture. I had 20-25 different EEG's that all came back normal. That does not mean I didn't have epilepsy. It meant at the time of the test there was no activity showing. The first EEG that showed activity was one in which I fell asleep in.As for stopping the medication. I would advise you to talk to your neurologist before you personally try to do it yourself. There is a thing called status epilepticus which a person can go into. I know I went into it having 40 convulsions an hour. They started around 10 PM and the neurologists got them stopped around 8*10AM only to have me go back into status. All I know is I came to 3 days later. There have been people go into it and not come out.
