4 day VEEG
Thu, 10/09/2014 - 08:57Hello
In November I am going in for a four day VEEG. I am 17 years old but will be in the adult wing. I also will be strobed until I have a seizure. The whole reason I am going in is because my seizures appearance has changed and it has been over a year since I last had one. I am just really anxious about the whole thing. I also wated advise on what to do in the hospital. I am a very active person and will hopefully be doing a half-marathon only two days before I go in. Any suggestions on things to keep my occupied for four days. (I am not a big TV person because of school I don't watch weekday television).
Thank you
Emily

Hi Emily. My daughter is your age and just completed a 3 day ambulatory EEG and had an overnight EEG at the hospital in April. All of which just about drove her batty. If you don't mind visitors, I would suggest having some friends come to see you, play some board games or just hang out. Maybe stagger their visit times to keep you busy. Take along a book or two or any school work. All boring options, I know! Good luck though!
