Hi Chrissy, That is so funny. We are looking at buying a new truck and Molly says to the salesman - "is this equipped with xm or sirius?" I barely knew what she was talking about, but I guess it is definately something she is interested in. I can't believe how fast this year is flying by. I try to start Christmas shopping in August, so I guess I better get busy. d I'm Molly's Mom and Proud of It!

Hi Molly's Mom :) I love my XM radio. It's so much better than tv. I have 120 channels--we get fewer channels here in Canada than customers get in the US, but it's still really good. I find on the cable the same shows are repeated on channel after channel. For instance, CSI and the Simpsons can can be found on 10 channels in any given night, whereas the radio has different content on each and every channel : I have 7 country channels, 3 Christian channels,14 rock channels, 7 hip hop channels, 5 jazz and blues channels, different alternative stations, dance music channels, latin and world channels, classical music channels, as well as "decade" channels. All the music channels are commercial free. I get three comedy networks, one which broadcast classic American comics such as Bill Cosby and a Canadian channel which broadcasts acts from the Just for Laughs festival. There are a number of news channels, talk and entertainment channels, and sports and weather channels as well. I primarily listen to the various rock stations as well as the comedy networks. My favorite rock station is BoneYard. It's mostly 80s metal and hard rock. Eddie Trunk is live every Monday and there is a Breaking Bone hour, where new music by "established" BY bands is played. My daughter likes Squizz and Liquid Metal, which play current hard rock and metal. My son likes the classic rock of Top Tracks and Big Tracks. I have a boom box for the radio, a car kit, and an adapter for it to hook up to my home theatre system. The radio has a remote, with search and memory features. I can see exactly what is on what channel at any given time. For the sports I'm given the score on the search feature in addition to the channel. I like the fact that I can pause live radio and also replay whatever was played in the last half hour. I can fast forward over already played music, too. I have my radio on all the time. I barely watch tv anymore, turning it on maybe once a week. :)

I make cross stitches and the other Christmas I made a picture of grapes that said "Age doesn't matter unless you're a cabernet". I gave it to my mom and her husband. I finished a cross stitch today. It has a comedy mask and an earth with the saying,"Laugh. It makes the world a better place." I heard that on Comedy USA and I think it was Rabbi who said that. I liked it. :-)
