A Petition For Epilepsy...

Fri, 09/08/2006 - 09:54
I belong to the Eplilepsy surgery group that is on Yahoo, AOL, and MSN, another support group like ours with helpful members and weekly chats. The woman who runs the group is petitioning the Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Phil show to do a special episode on Epilepsy, and we need your help!! All we need are 23 more names to add to the petition and she can send it in. If you would like to help all we need is your first and last name, and city and state in which you reside. If you don't feel comfortable posting it publically, you are more than welcome to email me through the forum, and I will add you to the petition. Thanks in advance, once we know there definately will be an episode I will post the date, time, and other info here. Susan and the epilepsy surgery group

I think it would be a great help to see us on Oprah or Dr.Phil for us who have Epilepsy to hear about how other have dealt with and hear from people how other despite their illness done much in their live tobe constructive people with thought and dreams that we carry out. It would help to show other that despite having Epilepsy we can still in most cases live good and find happy lives. But also reflect the emotionally fears we all share even in my case although at 33 my seizures are controlled by medication there's always a small fear that could always change.
