as I sit here

Mon, 05/22/2006 - 22:07
As I sit here and read the posts and the Blogs I see new names reaching out for advice and Help. Then after a few days or weeks I inturn see the new people posting and offering support and advice and help to others. I find this whole process wonderful to watch like flowers slowly blooming in the warm summer sun. I am happy to be a part of such a wonderful group of people and want to give applause to all those who not only seek help but to those who offer it also. Keep it up you never know whos life you will touch and whos fears you can ease and to whos face you can bring a smile. To everyone who reads this know and be proud that you are part of a amazing community that spans the globe. And touches hearts and lives every minute of every day. Feel proud, Feel strong, Feel accomplished You have all earned it Pam

Couldn't agree more with you Pam it's nice to be a part of what is quickly becoming a global family. I also think one of the reasons for this is because of the warmth of the welcome and the depth of knowledge, help and support that is available to one and all here. My only regret is that I never discovered the site and everyone here earlier : )

I have to echo you Andy and Pam on that one, but need to add one more thing we all share. That is empathy. We don't sit here and say "oh poor Keri, how in the world does she live with this." We understand and try to help through our own experiences, struggles and successes. :) Sure, we let each other vent, throw a little hissy fit about it all, but then there is always someone here to help lift you up. You guys are awesome. I have truly made some dear friends here, whom I would love to meet face to face someday. Keri

I am so glad to have this site to turn to; to people who really understand what is so hard to explain. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and have been doing pretty well until 4 weeks ago and had multiple grand mals which I hadn't had for a long time. I seem to need the support more now then in the beginning.I think I was in denial that I really had E until they hit me hard again. The absence seizures are annoying but seem so different than the big ones. I have had a much harder time with my emotions and I feel blessed that there are so many wonderful people on this site to help out during the difficult times! Thank you all! Much Love, Peggy
