I am a Lousy Cook!!!

Wed, 03/07/2007 - 22:26
I need help with dinners. I am bored to death with what I cook and my family agrees. Please help the Send in/Take out family that needs to get back to home cookin. Chicken, Turkey, Fish and Veggies top the list with Pasta in the running. I don't measure, I don't own a timer and I burn everything so a 6 item or less recipe will keep the house safe from burning down. Maybe others are bored too and we can all benefit from each other. Thanks for any recipes. Oh, I can boil water and own a microwave...lol Thanks Joan

Thank you Nastaran! Guess we haven't solved the chicken or egg theory yet but the recipe sounds interesting! I'll try the tomato paste with some herbs and roast it with maybe some cheese melted on top. yum Hugs Joan

Hi Joan - I love to talk about food! Here's one my family likes and is quick. You can either use canned chicken or bonesless skinless chicken breasts. Put a little oil or butter with salt and pepper in a skillet, cook chicken. Buy the big flour tortillas and either shredded cheddar or mexican style cheese. In a large skillet add butter, melt and then add large tortilla, add cooked chicken and cheese - fold torilla in half and pan fry until golden. For our family of 5, I have three large quesadillas and cut into four pieces each. Serve with salad or fruit and put sour cream, tomatoes, salsa and avocados on the table. Oh yeah olives too!
