Acupuncture has helped reduce my seizures

Sat, 04/01/2006 - 22:19
I've been receiving acupuncture once a week for the last month and it has made a great difference in the frequency and severity of my Simple Partial Seizures. I just wanted to share this and see if anybody else out there has tried it and if it has worked for them.

My son Dakota brown  was born with a rare type of epilepsy called Dravet syndrome, also known as Severe Myoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy (SMEI). This is a rare and catastrophic form of intractable epilepsy that begins in infancy. Individuals with SMEI suffer from intellectual disabilities as well as severe behavioral and development delays. All effort made to be sure he did not live his life miserably with deadly disease proof abortive. I have carried him to different Doctors, use different prescription drug all to no avail. Dr. Edickson!!! (with tears of joy) I will forever be indebted to you. Your medicine worked perfectly well and now my son is cured of Epilepsy completely. contact him on via email doctoredicksonherbalcure@gmail.com Continue your good job....www.doctorherbalcure.jimdo.com

Due to a traumativ brain injury when I was 16, I have been living with seizure for the last tens years. I've tried every medication my doctors can find and I've got a Vagus Nerve Stimulator. All my doctor wants to do is keep upping my medication and turning the VNS up and nothing is able to control them.  Just today someone mentioned to me treating epilepsy with acupuncture and I found the comments you all have posted.

Acupuncture may help reduce the number of attacks, possibly through release of cholecystokinin (CCK-8), a neuropeptide which possesses anti-epileptic activity (Oei et al 1992, Bajorek et al 1986, Kadar et al 1984, Zetler 1980).
