Vimpat, Topomax and Lamictal...is it a good combo?
Thu, 06/20/2019 - 18:23Topic: Medication Issues
Hi I am a 29 year old female, I am currently taking 200mg of Topomax and 200mg of Lamictal morning and night for my Juvenille Myclonic Seizures and Partial Siezures. We are trying to have a child and you cant be on Topomax for that to happen. So doctor is prescribing Vimpat as a substitute. I am nervous about the 18 week titration. I have been on Topomax my whole life. How do these drugs react with each other? And should I go on FMLA for the first few weeks until I am used to the medication. I dont want to risk having a seizure while driving.
Hi carad22, Thanks so much
