Does anyone experience visual seizures like this?

I started having seizures almost exactly a year ago and it started with one tonic clonic (I think, as it was during sleep) and have had a few since. I am on medication and it seems controlled now but occasionally since mid last year I would have strange visions while trying to sleep or while in a relaxed state always in my bed. Neuro has not given exact diagnosis of epilepsy but I believe it is temporal as I have a scar on the left brain between frontal/temporal and he believes it to be a form of seizure. I have not been able to find any information on similar visions besides vague associations with religious experiences. It begins when my eyes are closed and initially would come with a sense of relaxation; but more recently anxiety. I will suddenly perceive a sense of space as if i am stood in a dark room with my eyes open but there is no light. After a few seconds a small fisheye warped sepia image like a stamp will slowly grow in my vision from the center and it will be of a very detailed image such as a field or just my room as if I can see through my closed eyes. Occasionally it is not a still image but has motion and is incredibly detailed and just as if I am looking through the eyes of someone else. After a short amount of time up to a minute it will fade. It is exactly like looking with open eyes and I can perceive space distance and parallax. I am certain this is not a dream as I have had instances where fully awake while talking to people with eyes closed such as my sister entering the room one time. Has anyone had similar experiences? if so I would love to hear about it and any more relevant information. Additionally it is probably relevant that I am not too well read on epilepsy besides brief browsing. Thanks! :)
