Seizures in sleep

Mon, 01/16/2017 - 10:02
My wife has been having seizures quarterly in her sleep. Grand mals usually two at a time. I work away from home and her new detection and alert watch has caught 2 of them. I receive a text and a phone call. I've been there for quite a few of them. She's been using CBDs and 200 mg of Vimpat 2x daily. She's still having them and partial seizures (always while sleeping or waking up from sleep.)This is all new to us. Has anyone else had seizures only while sleeping? Would a sleep study be beneficial? Advice?

Mine almost always occur

Mine almost always occur while I'm sleeping...if they happen it is usually within an hour or so of going to bed.  I have JME so if I experience anything during the daytime it is usually a myoclonic jerk (most noticeable if I'm overly tired, stressed, or overexposed to certain known triggers.
