Am I having seizures?

Wed, 05/25/2016 - 17:33
Hi there, back in August '15 I started having these strange spells. They have happened between once in a couple months to several times in one day. I have seen several Doctors so far, most looking at me like I am crazy until March '16. I changed PC Doctors and he had a neurology student in the office that day. Explained the best I could to both of them, and I was immediately referred to a Neurologist, ordered an MRI of the Brain, blood work and an Ambulatory EEG. My MRI came back normal, no lesions or tumors. My EEG was good, I also had no spells during this time. I went to see Neuro and he ordered a sleep deprived EEG. This was a week ago. My "spells" consist of a pain in the back of my head, almost as if I was struck. Jolting or shocking. Immediately I feel my world flip, nothing is where its supposed to be. I cannot talk, and I cannot understand when someone talks to me (sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher) My head/ face get numb or tingly. It will last for a minute or two. Sometimes while driving, sitting, sleeping... Just anytime. Sometimes I "hear" a ringing in the hours before this happens, but not always. Most recently with the sleep deprived EEG, I had a strange (to me) reaction to the flashing lights. It was almost like it was controlling my face, arm and leg. My lips were contorting in ways I can't explain. My hand and leg started twitching sometimes badly. I felt terrible, I felt scared, I do not know why. My heart started racing. But when the lights part was done, all of these problems seemed to fade out. That night I slept terribly, I woke up with my hand and leg twitching and jerking. I dreamed of lights. This carried over into the next day, periodically I would have this jerking motion and the ringing stayed for the whole day. I am still awaiting the results of the newest EEG, but the doctor said he was certain I was having seizures and just wanted to know what kind, to treat the best way. I have searched and searched this last few weeks and I cannot find anything I can expressly say sounds the same. I know this is a forum and no one is a Doctor, I am just looking for guidance or reading material for something that sounds remotely similar to what I have been experiencing!
