Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say that I am going through a lot! After 18 years of seizure free I switched meds last March, it didn't work, I almost got intoxicated, I went on disability, but during those months no seizures. After 5 o 6 month I went back to Valproc Acid (Depakote my old med) and I got 5 gran mal seizures in less than 40 days! I need help, and advice please. Or just to talk to someone I am so scare lately I don't know why they came back after so long:(

I have JME too, I'm 21 and I've been diagnosed for about 6 years now. It's terrible, I know. Doctors still can't get my seizures controlled. I've seen 4 neurologists in different states, I've been on Lamictal, Keppra, Clonozopam, but I still seize. My last job fired me because I had a seizure before work and couldn't make it in so I know the feeling is bad. I can't drive and can't work and I'm currently trying to get disability since I have no way to support myself. I haven't had a grand mal since November, but lately I've been having simple partial seizures a lot; smelling awful smells and hearing music that isn't there, and I can't stop grinding my teeth. It sucks and it's scary, but you're not alone. You have all of us.
