I read that the antidepressant Lyrica is also used as an AED. Currently wanting to try a new depression med as well as AED. Does anyone use Lyrica for both or one of the two? Does it work well without alot of bad side effects?

Before you try a new

Before you try a new medication of any kind always check with your doctors. One medication can counter another.  In other words all of your medications need to be known by all your doctors. I have a issue which can be taken care of with a medication. I also have a doctor that will not prescribe the medication. Not because it counters my AED but because it counters meds I take for Afib.   A medication designed for stopping seizures can also cuse seizures in other people. It is the same with any and all medications including over the counter medications. As for side efects all meds have them
